What We Need
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of key projects across our organization. This role will focus on coordinating deliverables, managing project scope and timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders. The Project Manager will play a critical role in driving projects that align with the company's strategic goals, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and of the highest quality. The Project Manager will also coach and train project team members to facilitate adoption to our Organizational Project Management processes and standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset for navigating complex projects and cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct the project intake process with key department stakeholders including the identification of primary deliverables, completion of a RACI matrix for each project deliverable, and obtaining a work effort estimation from impacted stakeholders.
- Coordinate project deliverables with key stakeholders, Project Sponsors, and Executive leadership in a direct and indirect reporting structure.
- Liaise with project owners to set project scope, desired outcomes, and identify impacted business metrics.
- Develop comprehensive project plans; outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements while adhering to all corporate project management policies and standards.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate daily and weekly project activities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among departments and team members.
- Prepare and deliver weekly project status reports to leadership and stakeholders to ensure transparency in project progress, addressing concerns promptly.
- Monitor and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, and progress reports.
- Perform regular project portfolio grooming and prioritization sessions with key stakeholders.
- Responsible for knowing the core business processes, including interdepartmental dependencies.
- Additional responsibilities related to business needs.
- Collaborate with Learning Specialists on the development of training resources for our Stakeholder Committee members to ensure adoption of our Organizational Project Management processes and standards.
- Collaborate with Learning Specialists on the development of project management process documentation and process change communications as needed.
- Coach members of the stakeholder committee on our Organizational Project Management processes and standards.
- Monitor and maintain the Jira Project Management board to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and maintain Power BI reporting for project management.
- Additional responsibilities related to business needs.
What You Need
- 1+ years of project management experience, preferably in the mortgage industry and with projects of comparable scope and complexity.
- PMP or CAPM Certified
- Knowledge of change management methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Knowledge of resource management tools.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Flexible, adaptable and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables.
- Motivated to build relationships with leaders and team members in technology, sales, marketing, compliance, strategy, operations and people teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Stellar public speaking skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency with Jira software.
- Experience in coaching or training is preferred.
- Experience in the Mortgage industry is preferred.
