What We Need
Are you a personable, positive, and organized Loan Processor looking for a flexible, dynamic opportunity to add to your loan processing experience? UMortgage is actively seeking experienced contract Loan Processors to hire on a contracted basis as a part of our new UMortgage Flex program. As a Contract Processor, you’ll act as a liaison between our customers and internal teams to effectively provide updates on loan status and ensure that loan files are accurate and verified prior to closing. Ideal candidates will have a firm understanding of the full loan operations process with a high sense of urgency and the ability to communicate effectively between multiple parties.
What You’ll Do
Build relationships and collect documentation from borrowers needed to complete the loan process.
Provide periodic updates to consumers to maintain consistent communication up to the closing date.
Coordinate with our Sales and Closing teams to ensure all external and internal parties involved in the loan process are provided with a timely and accurate experience.
Evaluate and verify loan application files to ensure application data is accurate and finalized, including the type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, length of employment, and marital status.
Submit loan file to Underwriting once appraisal, title, homeowner's insurance, and assets are received.
Review, prepare, and submit approved loan files to the Title company for settlement.
Review all loan approvals and address any conditions required for our Underwriting and Closing teams in a timely manner.
Schedule and track closing dates, contingency dates, and loan lock expirations.
Maintain a meticulous record of data on the volume and status of loans, including new applications, loans approved, canceled, or denied.
Meet or exceed our SLAs for turnaround time as outlined in the loan process.
What You Need
Regular access to a computer (disclaimer: equipment will not be provided)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a mortgage loan processing role; brokerage or direct-to-consumer lender experience is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication and follow-up skills
Passion for providing exceptional customer service
Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time and reprioritize as needed
Firm understanding of the full mortgage loan process
Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Experience working with a high volume of both government and conventional loans
Experience using Salesforce, ARIVE, and similar software is a plus
